In an industry over saturated with fashion designers who set their sights on recreating yesteryear’s looks, there’s one brand leading the new wave of unconventional and progressive menswear in a special way. Established in 2002 by Hiroshi “Kirk” Kakiage, Expansion has produced a wealth of collections with each drawing inspiration from dated military uniforms, American sportswear and the outdoor aesthetic. Each Expansion piece tells a rich and enthralling story, as its fabrication is globally sourced and produced. From the design phase through post-production, Kakiage is present - ensuring every detail meets his standards and quality is not foregone. Having developed a strong presence in the Japanese market, Expansion has set its sights on penetrating that of the USA.
